This is a robustly made morticer with very substantial cast iron construction, suitable for trade use and with power enough to cut 19mm mortices in softwood. The table movement is controlled by two hand wheels, one for the longitudinal and one for the transverse movement; the movement is smooth and precise with dovetail slides and jib strips for fine adjustment. The table has a wooden facing for through morticing as well as a length stop for repetition work, a very convenient quick acting vice and two cam-operated work clamps. There is a very clear and well-positioned scale at the rear of the table which, combined with the two travel stops, makes for accurate and convenient cutting of long mortices. The down feed handle can be easily re-positioned on its shaft to give the most convenient working position. The weight of the head is counter balanced by a gas strut and the up and down movement is controlled by a pair of stops and an easy-to-read scale. The morticing chisel is located in a choice of two mounting bushes, 3/4" or 13/16" depending on the size of the chisel, and the auger is driven by a 16mm capacity drill chuck. The morticer is mounted on a cabinet base which has a lockable door and shelf space for storage.

A floor standing morticer with a 25mm capacity. The unique screw and fast action nut allows the material clamp to be set across its length in seconds. With fully adjustable slideways the morticer has travel in both directions with lock on the fore and aft setting. The main operating handle has a clever ratchet setting which allows it to be quickly set in the correct position for optimum leverage. The depth stop is simple and very effective to use. Along the back of the main table is a mortice length setting device which allows the mortice length to be pre-set for reduced marking out. The cabinet base is fabricated from heavy gauge sheet steel and incorporates a shelf in the base for storage of chisels, bits and service tools. Bushes are provided for 3/4", 13/16" and 1.13/16" shank chisels. Supplied with cabinet base, chisel bushings and service tools.

This solid, well made morticing machine designed for heavy duty use and in situations where bench top mounting is more convenient. It is has a powerful motor, cast iron construction and a dovetail guided head with rack and pinion raising and lowering system driven by a handle which can be fitted on either side of the machine. Other features are the two adjustable roller guides, guide fence with rack and pinion positioning, double-locked hold-down, a very solid head travel stop and a most useful device for correctly setting the chisel to bit clearance. Supplied with the morticer are a 13mm drill chuck, long chuck key, mounting collars for 5/8", 3/4" and 13/16" chisels, tool tray and a diamond chisel sharpening cone.
