THE FLAGSHIP MODEL OF THE STARTRITE EDUCATIONAL RANGEThe Startrite 352 is the original and best known of all the educational machines, and has been at the heart of school and college workshops for many years. It has now been upgraded to the 352SB and this latest incarnation rests firmly at the forefront of the Startrite educational bandsaw range. It is built to comply with regulation BS4163. Now featuring a whole host of upgrades, specifically to increase the performance of the machine but ensuring the safety of the user. The motor is equipped with a mechanical brake, whilst user access can be restricted through the keyswitch isolator. The doors are interlocked and can be locked to prevent unauthorised access. Once in use there is an emergency kickstop which stops the machine well inside ten seconds through application of a mechanical motor brake. The 352SB also features the Startrite ceramic guide system ensuring the user acheives optimum results from an extremely stable blade. The guides are operated on a rack and pinion rise and fall. Rack and pinion is also used on the table tilting mechanism. Utilising the same basic design as the heavy duty bandsaw range this machine is sure to impress when it comes to accuracy and performance. The user of the 352SB will undertake every project with confidence.Available in single phase or three phase, the three phase model having a distinct advantage of being two speed. This allows the efficient cutting of materials such as acrylic or foam. The 352SB can also be fitted with an optional wheel kit if the machine needs to be moveable. When nothing short of the best is required for an educational workshop, look no further than the 352SB, With a proven track record throughout education and backed up by Startrites industrial pedigree, this machine will not disappoint. This is a machine which offers large capacities whilst benefitting from a relatively small foot print. Designed for a workshop with limited space, but one which requires a machine that is suitable for heavy duty use. The heavy cast iron bandwheels provide powerful, consistent performance and the mechanical brake brings the machine to a halt in well under 10 seconds. Fitted as standard are state of the art ceramic guides giving unsurpassed blade support and guidance. Table tilt is by rack and pinion for precise and easy adjustment. For a machine that is designed to be in reach of the dedicated enthusiast and semi professional the 401S simply defies belief when you consider the standard of performance it has to offer. This machine is ideal for the smaller workshop where a serious bandsaw is still required. The rigid frame, heavy construction and generous capacities make it very versatile and exceptional value. Take into account the strength and weight of this machine coupled with features like the ceramic guides and the heavy duty cutting capability. We are confident you will agree there is simply no alternative.SpecificationBandwheels Dia: 400mm Bandwheel Speed: 900rpm Motor Power: 3hp Height Under Guides: 400mm Max Cutting Width: 390mm Table Size: 400x500mm Table Tilt (degrees) 0 - 45º Blade Width: 6 - 30mm Weight: 148kg
