Well here it is, the Super FMT which can produce exactly the same joints as the original version but at a fraction of the cost. It is supported by all the same guides and accessories that are available for the FMT and it has the same capability and capacity. The cost has been kept low by using steel instead of aluminium in the manufacture of this model and F clamps have replaced the cam action clamps used on the flagship model. The accuracy and quality have not been compromised on this very affordable jig and you will be impressed by the excellent range of joints it is capable of producing.A worthwhile addition to the Super FMT is the optional vacuum box (211377) which when used with a suitable extractor, helps to keep airborne dust to a minimum in the workshop.N.B. Its that easy. There are no bit or guide changes to fuss with and the set-up stays the same for both parts of the joint. Joint fit is easily adjusted for perfect results every time. FMT guides and bits allow you to create any size mortice and tenon from a tiny 1/16" x 1/8" to a massive 1/2" x 5".

* Two flute spiral upcut bits * High speed steel or solid carbide version available * Spiral upcut cuts cleaner & faster * Smoother finish & reduced tearoutAll finger joints are cut with straight bits and we offer two variants; a two flute spiral upcut in High Speed Steel and a Solid Carbide version. The spiral upcut design cuts cleaner, faster, leaves a smoother finish and dramatically reduces tearout. Although both produce excellent results, the solid carbide versions are stiffer and they hold a keen edge longer than the HSS. The performance of less expensive HSS bits is comparable to Solid Carbide but they loose their edge more quickly. Choose the bit that best suits your needs and budget.
