The Trend Minimach is a vacuum clamping bed providing obstruction-free clamping for woodworking applications with power tools or hand tools. It can be used with a workshop extractor such as the Trend T30 or a domestic vacuum cleaner. Fast, simple obstruction-free clamping. Unique valve mechanism. Connects to a dust extractor or a vacuum cleaner with a motor rating over 1000 watts and a clear air flow. Holds material from 95 mm square to 1220 mm square. Can be used on a workbench or any flat surface. Can be used with a router, saw, planer or sander. Includes hanging bracket. How Does It Work? The lower surface of the Minimach has a rubber gasket with one large vacuum cell which is used to clamp it to the workbench. The top surface has a gasket with a matrix of cells in two sizes. Together these provide the maximum surface area to hold small or large workpieces. The timber is pushed down to activate the air valves in the cells to engage the vacuum. The vacuum suction then holds the workpiece securely onto the bed. A red handle is used to release the vacuum.Template GasketIncludes 2.5 metres of template gasket, for template copying with a router and a bearing guided trimmer.A single strip of the adhesive template is applied around the edge of a template which has been cut from a non-porous material such as MDF to the exact size of the required article. An 8mm air extraction hole through the template will create the vacuum to hold the workpiece down. The workpiece is rough cut slightly over size to allow for the trimming operation.SPECIFICATION: Size 610mm x 320mm x 80mm Material possible min. 95mm x 95mm Material possible max. 1220mm 1220mm The power source should be a minimum of 1000 watt cylinder vacuum cleaner or industrial vacuum pump with a minimum rating of 6 cubic metres per hour. Please note that 'cyclone' cleaners like the Dyson are not suitable for use with the Minimach
