This new British designed underpinner is very simple to use thanks to its advanced features.
The sliding fence allows for multiple wedges (also known as V nails) to be inserted into the same corner. There is a front and back limit stop, which can set to keep wedge positions accurately placed. When using tall mouldings the fence can be locked in position to allow wedges to be stacked two on top of each other, therefore two 10mm wedges become a 20mm wedge.
There are two foot pedals. The right hand one operates the moulding rebate clamp which securely grips the moulding from the front before pinning. Another great feature on this machine is that when adjusting the fence, to insert a second wedge, the rebate clamp also travels with it, so that the moulding always remains tightly clamped.
The left hand pedal has a dual action. Firstly the top clamp is lowered so that the moulding is now clamped in two directions. Secondly the wedge is inserted underneath the moulding. To again increase the simplicity of the M3 there is a green indicator light which illuminates when the wedge has been fully inserted and the operation is finished.

Supplied with two extension tables, L shaped pressure pad, round pressure pad, pedal restrictor for smaller mouldings and wedge magazine height adjusting tool.

A simple pneumatic underpinner (requires a compressed air supply) for the professional framer. A built in pressure regulator and gauge ensures the correct air flow is always available. The sliding fence has front and back limit stops to allow multiple wedges to be inserted into the same corner. Getting a strip of wedges into the magazine is simplified by using a lever to retract the magazine clamp. The foot pedal has two operations; Firstly the top clamp is lowered to securely hold the moulding. Secondly the pneumatic cylinder pushes the wedge into the timber.

The optional floorstand lifts the table working height to 920mm. It has a tilting pivot sytem which allows the pinner to be set to any angle, particularly useful for people who prefer to work the pinner form the reverse side. There is even a handy storage bay to keep wedges, glue and accessories.

Supplied with 'L' shaped magnetic pressure pad, round magnetic pressure pad, production stops on fence, Orion type male quick action airline connector and two stage foot pedal.

A more advanced pneumatic underpinner with heavier construction suitable for heavy use. A built in pressure regulator and gauge ensures the correct air flow is always available. The fence is adjustable forwards and backwards with production stops plus a third stop to lock it in any position for wedge stacking. Access to the wedge magazine is very fast thanks to the magazine clamp being pneumatically controlled.
The top clamp on this model also has an additional feature. As well as moving vertically it can also be adjusted to sit over the most appropriate part of the moulding which is particular beneficial when working with awkward shapes or spooned mouldings.
The TPB can be used with 4 different wedge sizes. Setting up between each wedge size is achieved by rotating the wedge nosepiece, which is engraved with the four sizes. The two stage pedal works in the same way as on the TPJ. By only lifting the pedal halfway after pinning the top clamp will remain in place and a second wedge can be inserted whilst the clamp remains in place.
