Charnwood BD15 Belt and Disc Sander In detail
There are 3 different sanding stations on the machine:
For sanding larger flat faces or end grain use the 5″ diameter sanding disc. It is also complimented by a solid one piece cast aluminium work table. This is hinged at both ends therefore allowing a tilting function of up to 45 degrees. The work table also has a slot to mount a mitre fence which can be adjusted up to 60 degrees each way. Thus allowing mitred and compound angles to be sanded. A dust extraction outlet is provided to connect to a suitable vacuum or extractor.
For edge sanding, profiling or sharpening tools, the belt sander is 25mm wide with a back plate to keep its shape. It also has a solid one piece cast aluminium work table, hinged to allow tilting to 45 degrees. There is an adjustable stop provided to ensure it always goes back to 90 degrees.
Removing the top roller safety guard also gives access to the sanding belt drum which can be used for sanding curved shapes.
The sander sits on 4 rubber feet to provide a stable platform. It can also be secured to a work bench using the 2 mounting points provided.
Supplied with mitre fence, 1 x 80 grit sanding belt, 1 x 80 grit self adhesive sanding disc, 2.0m power cable & UK 3 pin plug.
