This tool is rectangular in section giving it more weight and making it superb for spindle work e.g. newel posts and table legs. We have modified the tool this year by ‘rolling’ the edges slightly to help turners avoid catching an edge and to allow greater manoeuvrability.

Robert Sorby 810 Woodturning Standard Skew Chisel – 810H. This chisel is rectangular in section. Thus giving it more weight and making it superb for spindle work e.g. newel posts and table legs. Also, this tool has been recently modified.  This has been achieved by ‘rolling’ the edges slightly.  Therefore, helping turners avoid catching an edge whilst  also allowing greater manoeuvrability.

This item is available with either the standard Robert Soby handle or as a blade only.  The 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ blades are compatible with the Robert Sorby sovereign handles.

Please note due to the various options, there might be a lead in of up to 4 weeks for your tool.
