The Robert Sorby eccentric Chuck is the most sophisticated chuck for multi-centre turning. Ease and accuracy of adjustment (without removing the workpiece from the chuck) is provided by the unique offset boss which accomodates the three different driving components on which to mount your workpieces:
viz Screwchuck, Ball Drive / Socket or Faceplate.

The Eccentric Chuck provides the means of driving from the headstock with or without tailstock support. However, the unique hexagonal balldrive/socket component allows multiple-turning between centres and at any angle between 0 and 20 degrees of the lathes axis.

An inexpensive introduction to off-centre or eccentric turning, the Wobble Chuck fits in the standard 2" jaws of the Patriot chuck in the same manner as a faceplate ring. The workpiece can be held by three screws - like a faceplate - or by a single wood screw - like a screw chuck - or by both means. It is then off-set by rotating the upper section of the Wobble Chuck. Ideal for goblets with off-set stems. A great opportunity to experiment with novel projects
